INDIANAPOLIS— As Indianapolis’s oldest general contractor, the Junglaus-Campbell Company, founded in 1875m holds a treasure trove of resources related to the construction of some of the city’s greatest landmarks, including the Coca-Cola Building (now Bottleworks), the Madam C.J. Walker Building, Columbia Club, and Murat Temple. Recently, IUPUI worked with the companyto digitize historic photographs and records detailing the complicated construction process.
On March 14 from 6-7 p.m. at the Indiana Landmarks Center (1201 Central Ave.), Bill Nagler, sixth generation owner of Jungclaus-Campbell; Ed Fujawa, University Library community advisor and author; and Deedee Davis, digital scholarship services specialist with Herron Art Library, will share an illustrated look at the company’s history.
