INDIANAPOLIS — Do the dead speak? How did the seance begin? Why do people believe in ghosts? These and other questions are being addressed in a new show coming to the Indy Fringe Basille Theatre. Thursday, Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. in The Talking Dead: Experiences From the Victorian Seance.
Producer Taylor Martin is bringing Magician John Shore to the Indy Fringe Basille Theatre for one night only. From Lexington, Kentucky, John will be addressing these and other questions. Produced originally at the Mary Todd Lincoln House to great acclaim, it is an evening of ghostly rapping sounds, mediums from history, and the history of seances from the 1840s to the 1920s. Based on his research of events and personal accounts, Mr. Shore has brought all of this together to create a very entertaining show.
Tickets are available at indyfringe.org and at the door.
The theatre is located at 719 E. St. Clair.
