INDIANAPOLIS — The public is invited to attend the Franklin Township Historical Society’s Vintage Clothing Show and Sale on Friday, Aug. 18 and Saturday, Aug 19 at Grace Church, 5605 S. Franklin Rd., just across from the Franklin Township Library. Hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday. Admission is free.
Visitors will have the chance to see antique garments from the 1840s through the 1970s, including authentic Civil War uniforms, Victorian gowns, flapper dresses, and much more from the Historical Society’s collection and on loan from private collectors. There will also be displays about period fabrics, sewing history, and garment preservation.
There will also be some vintage garments for sale at affordable prices from various eras.
