The Indianapolis Public Library is offering cardholders free access to the digital edition of the daily New York Times. This includes access to articles, videos, NYT Cooking, and NYT Games on NYTimes.com or the NYT app.
“This provides quick access to everything in the live interactive New York Times experience,” said IndyPL Director of Collection Management Deb Lambert. “Not only can IndyPL residents browse New York Times articles immediately, but patrons can also browse the very popular New York Times Cooking, Crossword, and Games features. Combined with access to the historical issues of the paper dating back to 1851, the addition of the current NYT to the Library’s online collection significantly increases our community’s access to information and resources.”
The New York Times has a worldwide readership and is one of the country’s most distinguished and noteworthy publications. A digital subscription currently costs a standard rate of $17 every 4 weeks after a $4 every 4 weeks promotional period. By using a library card to access the Times, patrons can save more than $800 a year.
In addition to The Times, IndyPL Cardholders have access to a wide variety of local, national, and global newspapers including the Indianapolis Star, The Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal. To access any of these publications, visit indypl.org and find “Newspapers” beneath the “e-Books and Streaming” tab
