Future of Brookside School #54 Subject of Summit

INDIANAPOLIS — The John Boner Neighborhood Center will host a summit on the future of Brookside Elementary #54 on Saturday, April 23 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the school, 3150 E. 10th St.
Attendees are encourage to share experiences, discuss ideas, and develop strategies to help shape the school’s upcoming Innovation School application and help improve education for neighborhood children.
Child care will be provided for participants. Please submit a ticket for the event for each person attending so they can plan ahead. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all participants.

Second Chance Workshop April 6

INDIANAPOLIS — Horizon House is partnering with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office and the Marion County Defender’s Office with a Second Chance Workshop on Wednesday, April 6 from 1-3 p.m. at Horizon House, 1033 E. Washington St.
The workshop is to help those who are wanting to get their driver’s licenses reinstated and provide information about getting previous criminal charges expunged from their records. All are welcome to attend.

Veterans Appreciation Lunch March 26

BEECH GROVE — The Daughters of the American Revolution Samuel Bryan Chapter, Beech Grove, are hosting a Soup-er Veterans Appreciation Lunch on Saturday, March 26 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Hornet Park Community Center, 5245 Hornet Ave. The event is free to all veterans and their families.
Vietnam Veterans will receive a Welcome Home book, pins and stickers from Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans, Inc. and the U.S.A Vietnam War Commemoration in celebration of the 5th anniversary of the Vietnam War Veterans Day on March 29, and the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War.
