INDIANAPOLIS — A one-artist-show, Playful Paper: Mystery and Magic, by artist, Sonja Lehman is featured at the Southside Art League Off Broadway Gallery in March. The featured artist will be exhibiting a collection of original artwork including unique paper wall/window hangings and bendable paper objects that emit light including smaller origami works and luminaria. Most of these unique and playful works are for sale.
Lehman is originally from Chicago, and moved between Chicago and central Indiana throughout her adult life, settling in Greenwood, in 1994. She works in many mediums. Currently, her focus is on the paper arts, book arts, papermaking, and relief printing/letterpress.Sonja is a member of the South Side Art League. She exhibits her work regularly in the member exhibits at the South Side Art League Off Broadway Gallery in Greenwood. Sonja has a studio Franklin, In at the Alva Neal Building.
The artwork will be displayed at SALI from March 2-30. There will be a reception on Thursday, March 24 from 6-8 p.m.
The Southside Art League, Inc. (SALI) Off Broadway Gallery is located at 299 E. Broadway Street in Greenwood. Regular hours for the gallery are Wed. – Sat. 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
