INDIANAPOLIS — Pecking their way through this two-act funny/macabre parody of Hitchcock’s The Birds, twenty singers and dancers at the District Theatre will entertain you Feb. 24-27 and March 3-6.
The Fowl, a musical by Ben Asaykwee, is the story of the birds attacking a town on Bodega Bay in California. In Act I, the show is much as you remember it from the famous film. In Act II, you’ll see the bird’s eye view, where the attack is triggered by two lovebirds kept in a cage. The birds organize a protest against abuse the only way they know how — dive bombing, eye-pecking, and terrorizing their human tormentors.
The cast is made up of professional actors and young performers, and will sell out quickly. Call 317-522-8099 or visit indydistricttheatre for more information. Tickets are $20 for general admission.
