Colts Sign Eric Fisher

The Colts have signed former Kansas City Chief left off offensive tackle Eric Fisher to replace the retired Anthony Costonzo. Apparently Head Coach Frank Reich practically demanded his immediate signing after his interview. The Chief lineman has played in the Pro Bowl but a serious ankle injury at the end of the regular season left teams doubting the 30-year-old’s ability to play at all in 2021. The Colts were convinced that he is on the mend and will be in the starting lineup for the team. He was given a one year contract worth up to $9 million. The eight year vet attended Central Michigan University and was the number one overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. Sam Tevi is written in as the starting left tackle until Fisher is able to retire to the starting lineup. Tevi was a starter for the Chargers. Former Houston tackle Texan Julién Davenport is also in the mix.
The Colts held their rookie training camp this last week and the star of the show was rookie tight end Kylen Granson. The fourth round pick out of SMU showed skill and hustle and impressed the coaches. He could fit in very nicely in the Colt lineup as an H-Back or second tight end in short yardage.
The Colts have signed free agent defensive tackle Antwaun Woods. The former Dallas Cowboy who is 6’ 1” and 310 lbs. is considered a major upgrade in the defensive line and is known for his run stopping capabilities.
