• There has been a big increase in the number of stolen vehicles the past few weeks. Most of the cars were left running to warm up, or when the driver stepped away for just a minute to get something from the house. Do not leave your car running with the keys in the ignition in your driveway, at the curb, or outside a store, even for a moment. Every year, hundreds of cars are stolen in the city because thieves lurk in neighborhoods waiting for you to slip up.
• KIBI is looking for block captains and volunteers for upcoming beautification projects throughout the city. This is a great opportunity to get outdoors once the weather improves. Visit www.kibi.org/projects for more information about planned neighborhood projects and volunteer opportunities.
