INDIANAPOLIS — American Dairy Association Indiana (ADAI) recently announced the launch of a new campaign: Hoosier Heroes. Hoosiers around the state have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and this is an opportunity to rally. In honor of the courage, respect and community that comes with the Month of May, and the iconic drink of milk in Victory Circle at the end of the Indianapolis 500, ADAI is seeking support to celebrate the heroes among us and assist communities.
There are two easy ways to participate.
1. Nominate a Hoosier Hero who has gone above and beyond during this time – from medical professionals and first responders to farmers to food service providers!
2. Donate to provide healthy dairy foods to Indiana food banks. Donations will go directly to Feeding Indiana’s Hungry (part of Feeding America) and its 11 food banks in the state. The food banks in turn support local pantries, shelters and other organizations in their regions. Donations made through the Hoosier Heroes campaign will supply milk and other nutritious dairy foods to those in need throughout the state.
Visit WinnersDrinkMilk.com/Hoosier-Heroes to nominate a hero in your community and donate. Over the course of the month, ADAI will honor these heroes’ stories on its social media channels and each nominee will have a chance to win one-of-a-kind prizes fit for a Month of May celebration.
FIVE Hoosier hero nominees will receive “Winners Drink Milk” prize packs that include a special edition etched milk bottle. ONE Hoosier Hero will receive the prize pack plus a VIP Experience for two with reigning IndyCar Series Champion Josef Newgarden at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This one-of-a-kind offer includes tickets to an Indy 500 practice day and an exclusive hour with Josef and his team.
Entries must be received by Monday, May 25.
