Applause!: March 27-April 2

From some of our neighbors:
Kudos and huge shout-out to Jockamo Pizza!!! I have been sick and wanted to order home delivery without exposing the poor driver to any remaining germs I might have still. The young lady on the phone taking my order got permission to add my driver tip to my credit card charge. The driver then called me as he pulled into my driveway, left my order on the porch and shouted “thank you” as he walked back to his car. He drove away and I retrieved my order from my porch preventing any contact with each other. We live in the best neighborhood with the greatest small businesses. Please support them all as you are able!!
The 900 block of Audubon Rd. sent pizza to Community East Emergency Dept.
Lots of neighborhood Facebook pages are filled with offers of help picking up prescriptions and other essential services. NextDoor neighbor pages are also reaching out to each other for essentials like food, medication runs, and much more. Keep up the good work!

• Indianapolis Animal Care Services has suspended its Freedom for a Day program, but remains open for adoptions during reduced hours. They will accept surrenders in emergencies only by appointment (e-mail IACSIntake@indy.gov or call 317-327-1397). Your dog or cat cannot give you COVID-19 according to the CDC. IACS is also seeking foster families to reduce the number of animals in the shelter. If you are able, please sign up as a foster candidate online at www.indy.gov/activity/apply-to-foster-an-animal. The shelter provides all the supplies needed. They really need fosters for large breed dogs.
