INDIANAPOLIS — East Downtown Indy Neighborhoods (EDIN) is hosting a Pi Day celebration on Saurday, March 14th (3.14) at 37th Place Community Center, 2505 E. 25th St. The event, co-hosted by City-County Council Vice President Zach Adamson, will feature activities that focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).
Pi Day kicks off at 1 pm. Bakers who are entering the pie competition should arrive at 12:45 p.m, and pie judging will commence at 1:15 pm with celebrity judges.
Family activities such as building Pi City, create Pi with beads, a robotics demonstration and a student recital of ‘Pi to 100 digits’ will run throughout the event. Doors close at 3 pm.
Event entry is $10 and includes pie and ice cream. Family pricing is $20. There is a $15/pie entry fee (includes pie and ice cream) for pie contest participants.
All are invited to enter homemade pies for the pie baking contest. Pie entry fee $15 per pie. Competition pies are auctioned off. Please make your pie in a dish you won’t need back.
The competition pies will be auctioned off at the end of the night with proceeds supporting EDIN’s Eastside Games and promoting connectivity/collaboration on the eastside of Indianapolis.
