INDIANAPOLIS — Demand for workers at seasonal jobs in Plainfield is so high that the Plainfield Connector shuttle buses will operate seven days a week starting Nov. 9.
The Plainfield Connectors are operated by the Central Indiana Regional Transportation (CIRTA) and funded through the Plainfield Economic Improvement District. They pick up riders at IndyGo’s Route 8 stop on Bridgeport Road and circulate on two routes — North and South — through the industrial parks in Plainfield. The first bus of the day picks up riders at 5:15 a.m. at Washington and Delaware streets in downtown Indianapolis.
Employers at distribution centers need seasonal workers to operate at peak during the holidays. Routes, schedules and Plainfield job postings at WorkforceConnector.com. The fare to ride the Connectors is $1 each way. In addition to the two Plainfield Connectors, there’s also a Whitestown Connector to job sites in the AllPoints at Anson industrial park.
