INDIANAPOLIS — The Department of Business and Neighborhood Services (BNS) announced a safe riding event in partnership with Bird and Lime. The events will take place on Georgia Street in conjunction with Downtown Indy’s Food Truck Fridays.
Along with providing individuals the opportunity to learn how to responsibly and properly ride and park, the events will also allow non-users (pedestrians, bicyclists, other drivers) the opportunity to learn more about these new forms of transportation sharing our roads each day.
Each event will feature only one company in order to provide ample space for riding and parking demonstrations.
The next event will be held Friday, Aug. 16 (featuring Lime) from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on the north lanes of Georgia Street (Downtown Indy’s Food Truck Fridays will be taking place during the same time along the southern portion of Georgia Street.)
