• Which brings us to a point — many people have never used, or have “opted out” of social media in the past few years. Organizations that rely solely on social media (Nextdoor, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) to let the community know about events and meetings are missing large numbers of folks who would love to participate, but don’t know about things until they are over. Some organizations have stopped sending information to local “old media” newspapers, and we cannot pass along information that we don’t have. We reach thousands of readers every week who want to help. Please send e-mails to ethel.weeklyview@yahoo.com at least a week in advance of important events so we can tell our readers!
