Pacers Move Forward

The Indiana Pacers have successfully moved on from losing Victor Oladipo for the season to a knee injury. Coach Nate McMillan has gotten solid play from forwards Myles Turner and Bojan Bogdanovic and the team is currently 38-19 which is good enough for 3rd place in the NBA East. They have added former Knicks guard Wesley Matthews to the roster.
The Pacers recently handed the LA Lakers a 136 to 94 smackdown. This is the worst defeat that any LeBron James led team has ever experienced. Adding James to their roster was supposed to make the Lakers the next west coast super team capable of challenging the Warriors for supremacy but it just hasn’t happened — too many clashing egos has mired the Lakers in mediocracy. Former Pacer Lance Stephenson is a Laker. Stephenson has talent but his antics and attitude can wreak havoc on a team, particularly in the locker room.

Indiana Fever News

Indiana Fever Coach and GM  Pokey Chatman has announced the resigning of three key free agents back to the Fever roster. Center Natalie Achonwa, guard Shenise Johnson, and point guard Erica Wheeler. The trio will combine to add 15 years of total experience to the Fever roster. For Johnson it means a return after missing the entire 2018 season with a torn ACL injury.
This year will mark the Fever’s 20th season in the WNBA. The team was 6-28 in the 2018 campaign and is hoping that a return from injuries from some key players and  #3 pick in the upcoming WNBA draft will mean a return to the playoffs for the team in 2019.

McAfee in the WWE

Former Colt punter and popular local sports personality Pat McAfee has joined the World Wrestling Entertainment media group to be a color commentator at WWE events.
“My dream my entire life, has been to be in the WWE,” said McAfee. “I signed with the WWE on a microphone, and doing the digital thing, and however else a I can help.”
McAfee is noted for his quick wit and straightforward observations and should be a big hit as a WWE color man.
