INDIANAPOLIS — Best-selling author Mitch Albom of Tuesdays with Morrie kicks off the JCC’s 20th Annual Ann Katz Festival of Books & Arts, a three-week festival featuring authors, films, performing artists and fine artists. Among this year’s appearances are a long-time host of the most listened-to drive-time news radio program in the country, a one-armed sharpshooter, a local author with ALS who is featured in a short documentary and a filmmaker chronicling a Brooklyn tailoring company that caters to a diverse LGBTQ community. Most events are at the JCC Laikin Auditorium (park in the front/west lot and enter through Door #3) and are $10 per person.
Tickets to An Evening with Mitch Albom on Wed., Oct. 17 are $30 and include a copy of his latest book, The Next Person You Meet in Heaven, which will be released the week prior to his appearance. The event is sponsored by The National Bank of Indianapolis. Visit jccindy.org/community/festival-books-arts/ to see the full schedule of authors and to get tickets to the Mitch Albom event.
The Festival of Books and Arts is Oct. 17 through November 12, 2018 and is presented by the Herbert Simon Family Foundation with generous annual support from the Irwin and Ann Katz Cultural Arts and Education Endowment Fund.
Attendance for the festival is expected to be 3,000. Please note that patrons do not need to be Jewish to participate in programs at the JCC.
