Pogue’s Run Art and Nature Park Task Force Wins National Award

INDIANAPOLIS — The Pogue’s Run Art and Nature Park Task Force won the prestigious Neighborhood USA Physical Revitalization/Beautification Award for 2018 for Multi-Neighborhood Partnerships. The Task Force has drawn from the strengths of Otterbein neighborhood, plus several local organizations, and Indy Parks to improve and enhance the Pogue’s Run Nature Park at 23rd and Dequincy, making it a destination for people who love the arts as well as nature. The award was given at the NUSA annual conference held in Birmingham, Alabama on May 24.
The win comes on the heels of the 2017 initiative “I am Ubuntu: IndyEast Diversity & Inclusion Task Force” for their ReEntry Expo that garnered the Grand Prize and the title of Neighborhood of the Year.
Congratulations to all who have assisted in improving the east side — and are getting national recognition!
