Warren Central Winter Guard Achieves First Place in International Competition

INDIANAPOLIS — Warren Central Winter Guard represented the United States in Japan January 28, as the only American school in Winter Guard International Regional Finals. Competing in the Scholastic Open class, Warren Central Winter Guard placed first among over a dozen competitors.
The Warren Central Winter Guard was the first U.S. group to attend a WGI Asia event. The 25 member team also had a chance to sight-see in Japan during their stay.
The Warren Central Winter Guard has won awards since 2008, and was a silver medalist in Scholastic Open Class in 2007. The team has attended regional contests throughout the United States, including competitions in Florida, Nevada, and New Jersey. They also participate in the Tri-State Marching Arts circuit, where they earned eight-time Tri-State Champion titles. They have also earned five Indiana State Champion titles.
