From The Indianapolis Star, Friday, February 8: Representatives of the Indiana Woman’s Christian Temperance Union, the Council of Jewish Women, the Catholic Women’s Association, the Local Council of Women, and the Young Women’s Christian Association have organized a branch of the National Travelers’ Aid Association to be established at the Indianapolis Traction Terminal Station. A matron will be in the Traction Terminal Station day and night to render whatever aid may be required by the traveling public. A Travelers’ Aid branch was established by the Y.W.C.A. at Union Station some time ago, and has been the source of much assistance to the traveling public. The new Travelers’ Aid society will seek permission from the Y.M.C.A. to assume responsibility for all Travelers’ Aid work in Indianapolis. The state organizations engaged in this project will be asked to financially support it.
