First Friday Offers New Art in a New Year

INDIANAPOLIS— The Harrison Center will offer Chill, an artist reception on Fri., Jan. 5, from 6 to 9 p.m.. In the Harrison Gallery, Elizabeth Smith presents My Tour de France, a body of work comprised of paintings and installation work created with beaded “snowflakes” that mimic the intricate painted patterns.
Speck Gallery presents Pictured Rocks, an Interplay between Photography and Abstract Art by Bartosz Pietrzak. The City Gallery gets an arctic blast with a winter landscape show featuring work by Benny Sanders, Alicia Zanoni, Jingo de la Rosa, Kyle Ragsdale, Justin Vining, Jed Dorsey, Allen Bannister, Mike Sinon and more.
In the Gallery Annex, Interesting Artifacts includes work by Daniel Moosbrugger, Jude Odell, Johnny McKee, Crystal Vicars-Pugh, Kipp Normand, Katrina Valuyeva, and Blaire Orcutt.
Outside the building, Jan. 5 will be the last opportunity to experience the Holiday Window Tour.
The Circle City Industrial Complex Artists (CCIC Artists) will host a variety of artists as part of the January First Friday art tour. With over 60 artists and art businesses, the Circle City Industrial Complex has become a destination for art appreciators and supporters of local work. Just northeast of the Mass Ave Art and Theatre Cultural District, at 1125 Brookside Ave., the CCIC Artists First Friday programming is a must-see stop, while events and viewable hours continue throughout the month.
