• The eastside is blessed with some great neighbors and neighborhoods. People looking out for each other is the first step in creating a safer place to live, work, and play. Recent reports from the Christian Park neighborhood about random gunfire at night near the park has residents very concerned about their well-being. Residents are urged to call 911 when they hear gunfire in the city, as it is illegal to discharge firearms in Marion County. Getting on social media and playing the old “gunshots or fireworks?” game will not make the problem go away.
• BMV has announced their holiday hours. All branches will be closed Dec.23 through Dec. 26. Branches will be closed Dec. 30 through Jan. 1 for New Year’s Day.
