Running Icon Wins 5th Vampire Run

Indy native son and running icon Noah Droddy (son of long-time Irvington resident Sue Kennedy) won the Irvington Halloween Festival Vampire Run. making this his 5th win in a row at the event. Emma Kertesz was the winning female. In 2016 Noah qualified for the Olympic trials in the 10k and the marathon. Although he did not make team USA, he did win fans for his unusual (for an elite runner) appearance — long hair, mustache, sunglasses. This is what led to the group of runners dressing as him for the Run Saturday. They did a good job of copying his attire and even his bib number worn for the 10k trials.
