From The Indianapolis News, Tuesday, August 7: The Automobile Row Association was organized at a meeting of North Capitol Avenue merchants and business men yesterday afternoon in the offices of the Cole Sales Co, 343 N. Capitol Av. Carl Fisher, a pioneer in the automobile industry of Indianapolis, was named president. The general improvement of North Capitol Avenue as an automobile business district — automobile row — is the intent of the association. Special committees have been named to see that North Capitol Av is beautified with street lighting, and that it and the streets crossing it are maintained in a clean condition. Also, attractive show windows on the sales rooms will be encouraged. Fisher has completed plans for the construction of a modern building that will be the new home of the Fisher Automobile Co at 434 Capitol Av.
