INDIANAPOLIS — Women’s Fund of Central Indiana, a special interest fund of Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF), has awarded $215,591 to 15 not-for-profit organizations that are making the community’s women and girls stronger, healthier and more self-sufficient through programs that address domestic abuse, the gender pay gap, immigration, reproductive healthcare and more.
A full list of Women’s Fund grants can be viewed at cicf.org. Recipients include:
• The Julian Center. A grant of $25,000 will support the clinic’s operating budget and its’ life-saving and transformative crisis intervention and empowerment programs that help ensure domestic violence survivors have a safe and meaningful future.
• Indiana Institute for Working Families. The Institute will use its $25,000 grant to fund original research and advocacy surrounding Indiana’s gender pay gap.
• Exodus Refugee Immigration. The organization received $20,000 for its Women’s Self-Sufficiency Program that provides critical barrier-busting services to vulnerable refugee women, ages 15 to 22, including mentoring, education and leadership training.
• Trinity Women’s Clinic. The clinic provides free quality physical and mental healthcare, and connections to community resources. A $15,000 grant will help the clinic provide pap smears, pregnancy exams, mammogram referrals and other vital services.
