It’s Time to Call-the-Fever

INDIANAPOLIS — Children of all ages and families are invited to hear members of the Indiana Fever women’s basketball team read their favorite stories in children’s literature during “Call-the-Fever” on The Indianapolis Public Library’s 24-hour Call-a-Story telephone line.
By dialing 275-4444, or toll-free at 877-275-9007, listeners will hear recorded stories from Fever players who demonstrate their love of reading as a way to encourage young ones to “read like a pro.”
The 2016 “Call-the-Fever” schedule includes:
• Week of August 1 – Maggie Lucas reads Cars Galore by Peter Stein
• August 8 – Jeanette Pohlen reads Thunder Boy, Jr. by Sherman Alexie
• August 15 – Briann January reads Frankie the Blankie by Jennifer Sattler
• August 22 – Tiffany Mitchell reads Mamasaurus by Stephan Lomp
• August 29 – Marissa Coleman reads City Shapes by Diana Murray
In 2015, “Call-the-Fever” generated 38,021 calls during its five-week run.
