Spotlight Players Ends Season with Charlotte’s Web

LAWRENCE — The final production of Spotlight Players’ season is for children of all ages. Charlotte’s Web by Joseph Robinette, adopted from the book by E.B. White, opens June 17 for a two-week run at the Theater at the Fort located at 8920 Otis Ave. at historic Fort Harrison.
Adults will remember this timeless classic and children will be introduced to Wilbur the pig, the Ram, the Goose and the Gander, Templeton the Rat and, of course, Charlotte the spider. Actors will use hand puppets to help tell the story of how Charlotte saves her friend Wilbur using the “magic” of her web.
Performances will be June 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26. Show times are Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 6 p.m., and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 adults, $12 seniors, students and children, and $10 for military personnel. Purchase tickets online at www.brownpapertickets.com or call 317-366-4795.
Theater at the Fort is leased and operated by Partnerships for Lawrence (PFL), a nonprofit community arts organization championing the arts in Lawrence, Indiana, to help improve education, business and the quality of life in the community. Located on historic Fort Benjamin Harrison, the theatre is one of several projects for PFL which include public art, summer art camp for kids and community events.
