From The Indianapolis Star, Monday, February 21: “Indiana Home Products Day” will be observed today and tomorrow in Indianapolis and other Hoosier cities and towns. The variety and superiority of Indiana foods and manufactured articles will be celebrated at eight luncheons and dinners in Indianapolis where speakers will stress that loyalty and local interest require Hoosiers to use home products wherever they are available – “Buy it in Indiana if it is grown or made here!” Hoosiers have reason to be proud of Indiana’s position in the nation and the world in agriculture and industry. Indiana factories turn out most of the things civilized man needs. There are scores of canneries producing everything from tinned tomatoes to fruit preserves. Indiana wagons and vehicles are known in every state, as is Indiana furniture. Indiana plows and saws are used across the globe.
