INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Canine Assistant Network (ICAN) is selling “Puppy Love” valentines again to help raise funds for its service dog training program. Five years ago, the organization introduced these special gift box valentines and offered an unique delivery option that included a visit from a service dog in training to businesses, schools, retirement communities and healthcare facilities located within 20 miles of the Indianapolis downtown area. ICAN is happy to again offer these valentine gift boxes along with the service dog delivery option for 2016. Also new to this year’s program, is the option to purchase a Doggy Valentine gift bag. In addition, for the second year in a row, Indianapolis Yellow Cab is donating their services to help transport ICAN volunteers making deliveries in the downtown and surrounding area.
Many new items are included in this year’s Puppy Love Valentine’s Day gift box — a ten pack of ICAN’s greeting cards for seven different occasions, a 6 x 8 dog art canvas done by one of their pups in training; handmade pot holder, doggy bowtie & bandana, a yummy assortment of Valentine goodies prepared by Ivy Tech Community College Hospitality Administration Students, a jar of Endangered Species Chocolate Spread, a special Valentine card, and more. The cost for a Valentine gift box is $35 for pick-up orders and $50 for a special delivery. The Doggy Valentine gift bag is an additional $15.
