Baby, It’s Cold Outside Benefits The Pourhouse Dec. 5

INDIANAPOLIS — On Sat., Dec. 5, join the Christmas party fun at the second annual “Baby, It’s Cold Outside!” to benefit The PourHouse, a street outreach and advocacy organization in Indianapolis that serves individuals experiencing homelessness  (www.pourhouse.org). Last year’s event was a huge success and raised funds to help further their important outreach efforts. The PourHouse recently moved their headquarters from Monument Circle, joining IMPD’s Homeless Outreach Unit at the Southwest District office.
The PourHouse offers services to those experiencing homelessness, offering services, food, clothing, and respect. They provide two community gatherings downtown on Sundays and Wednesdays, where they hand out food and assistance. The organization has also helped get many people into safe housing, plus set them up with household goods. The PourHouse Executive Director, Andrea De Mink, has won numerous humanitarian awards, including the 2015 Service Provider Champion Award.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 5333 E. Washington St. Tickets are $60 each or $100 for VIP preview tickets, which include an open bar and preview of the silent auction. Order tickets online at thepourhouse.brownpapertickets.com
