Beech Grove Native Selected as Sailor of the Quarter

NORFOLK, Va. — Naval Air Crewman (Helicopter) 1st Class Eric Will, from Beech Grove, was recently selected as the Commander, Navy Region, Mid-Atlantic Senior Sailor of the Quarter for the fourth quarter of 2015.
“I’m very proud to have been selected,” said Will, who graduated from Beech Grove High School in 2003. “As an ambassador to society, I’m entrusted to have the capacity and vision to lead our current and future Sailors. My attitude and actions speak louder than any accomplishments.”
Will has been in the Navy for 12 years and is currently serving as the leading petty officer onboard Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia, at Navy Region Mid-Atlantic, Current and Future Operations department. His parents, Patricia and William Will, reside in Indianapolis. The Senior Sailor of the Quarter award is part of a program established in the interest of recognizing superior performance of enlisted personnel with emphasis on outstanding achievements, exemplary personal conduct and military bearing, and demonstrated initiative in the performance of duty.
