Eagle Creek Park Hosts Nature Photography Exhibit

INDIANAPOLIS — The Eagle Creek Park Foundation is hosting their ninth annual “Images of Nature” photography exhibit Sept. 12-20 at the Eagle Creek Park’s Earth Discovery Center, 5901 Delong Road.
The Riviera Camera Club presents the nature-based event, which will feature around 100 black and white, and color photographs by amateur and professional area photographers, with most photos up for sale.
All photos will showcase natural settings completely void of human existence and are split up into six different categories: Eagle Creek Park, birds, animals, landscapes, general nature (including wildflowers and insects) and creative.
Fifteen percent of every sale supports park improvements, trail restoration projects and environmental programs through the Foundation.
The photo exhibit is free to the public with park admission, which is $5 per vehicle without a Foundation gate pass. Exhibits hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Saturday, and 1-5 p.m. Sunday.
Additionally, there are other free events families can enjoy at the Earth Discovery Center including the “Nature Discovery Class” on Saturday, and “Feeding Time” on Sunday. Both run from 1:30-2:30 p.m. and do not require pre-registration.
