Tip-A-Cop Fundraiser Brings in $4,419 for Special Olympics of Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS — On Wednesday, June 3rd and Friday, June 5th from 4 to 10 p.m., Indiana State Police Troopers from the Indianapolis Post participated in the “Tip-A-Cop” fundraiser to benefit Special Olympics of Indiana. The events were held at the Texas Roadhouse in Greenwood and Southport.
During the evening, Texas Roadhouse staff, Special Olympic athletes, State Troopers and local law enforcement officers partnered to create an atmosphere of charity and fun. Officers and athletes provided fundraiser information to patrons of the restaurant and those patrons returned their generosity in the form of $4,419 in “Tips” for Special Olympics of Indiana.
In one week, law enforcement from around the state raised over $15,000 in “tips” for Special Olympics of Indiana.
