Lawrence Central Student Among President’s Scholars at Indiana State

LAWRENCE —Courtney Swanson, a graduating senior at Lawrence Central High School, is among 20 incoming students selected to receive Indiana State University’s President’s Scholarship.
Swanson is the daughter of Dewey and Dawn Swanson. In high school, she has served as vice president of Best Buddies, coached a Special Olympics soccer team and served as historian for National Honor Society. Swanson plans to major in speech-language pathology at Indiana State.
The President’s Scholarship provides full, in-state tuition and premium housing and has a total four-year value of more than $74,000. President’s Scholars are chosen based on academic performance in high school, personal accomplishments and interviews during their campus visits.
