INDIANAPOLIS — On Sunday, July 13th, the Harrison Center for the Arts and City Gallery invite near-downtown neighborhoods to a city-wide porch party. City Gallery is asking Indianapolis residents to invite their neighbors, host a party on their front porch on July 13, take a picture, write a short blog post and send everything to citygallery@harrisoncenter.org. The first 60 people from Chatham Arch, Old Northside, Lockerbie Square, Ransom Place, Herron-Morton Place, St. Joseph, Cottage Home and Woodruff Place to respond will receive a $25 gift card to the locally owned business of their choice as well as the opportunity to receive a $250 gift certificate from the Harrison Center.
Porch Party 2014 is an effort to activate our streets and promote a movement of neighborliness, encouraging Indy residents to open their porches and welcome friends and neighbors this summer. Porch party photos and blogs will be posted on the City Gallery website.
