Silent Horror Film, Live Pipe Organ Scare up a Classic Halloween

INDIANAPOLIS — This Halloween, see a classic horror film set in one landmark church while sitting in another. On Halloween, Oct. 31 from 7-10 p.m., Indiana Landmarks will present Hunchback of Notre Dame at the Grand Hall at Indiana Landmarks Center, complete with spooky live organ accompaniment. Set in 15th century Paris, the 1923 film — released one year after the Indiana Landmarks Center’s “newest” addition was built — made Lon Chaney a Hollywood star. A vintage Laurel and Hardy short completes the evening.
Guests are encouraged to dress in costume, and door prizes will be awarded throughout the evening. A cash bar will be available. Cost is $10 for Indiana Landmarks members, $12 for nonmembers. Indiana Landmarks Center is located at 1201 N. Central Ave. RSVP online at http://silenthalloween2013.eventbrite.com/
