Miss Irvington Pageant Oct. 19

IRVINGTON — The Miss Irvington Halloween Festival Scholarship Pageant will take place at Downey Ave Christian Church, 111 South Downey on Oct. 19 at 6 p.m. A $5 donation at the door  is suggested, and proceeds go to the scholarship program. This is the 5th year for the Pageant.
Young ladies representing schools from all over Marion County this year will participate. Ladies from Scecina, Lawrence Central, Warren Central, Cathedral, Ben Davis, Perry Meridian, Irvington Prep and Interlocken Art Academy High Schools will compete. The contestants compete in a spirit and evening gown competition, two personal interviews, and create a Halloween costume. Contestants must be 16 to 21, from Marion County and abide by all other rules by the ISFA. The winners appear at various events in Irvington during the year. Scholarship money is awarded in the girls name to the college they are/will attend.
The 2012 Miss Irvington Halloween Festival winner Emma Leising is in the running for the 2013 Miss Indiana State Festival Association Program. She will be competing on November 16th at the Wyndham Hotel.
