School Board Seeks Comments on Superintendent Search

INDIANAPOLIS — Members of the Indianapolis Public Schools Board of School Commissioners will host nine community town hall meetings throughout April to gain input on characteristics and expectations for the next District Superintendent.
All meetings will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., are free and open to the public.  Each session will include a brief introduction to the search process. The public will be invited to share their comments with board members and community representatives.
The schedule for local meetings include:
• April 8: Commissioner Samantha Adair-White will host a forum from 6 p.m. -8 p.m. in the mini auditorium of Broad Ripple Magnet High School for Arts and Humanities, 1115 Broad Ripple Ave.
• April 18: Commissioner Caitlin Hannon will host a forum from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. in the media center at Arsenal Technical High School, 1500 East Michigan Street.
• April 22: Commissioner Gayle Cosby will host a forum from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. in the gymnasium of James Russell Lowell School 51, 3426 Roosevelt Avenue.
• April 25: Commissioner Gayle Cosby will host a forum from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. in the auditorium of John Marshall Community High School, 10101 East 38th Street.
• April 29: Commissioner Annie Roof will host a forum from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. in the gymnasium of George Julian School 57, 5435 East Washington Street.
• April 30: Commissioner Gayle Cosby will host a forum from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. in the gymnasium of Day Adult High School, 1301 East 16th Street.
