IPL Customers Can Get Cash for Old Fridges
INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Power & Light Company (IPL) is encouraging its customers to recycle old and outdated refrigerators through its Ditch Your Fridge program. In this appliance recycling program, IPL will haul away older model, energy inefficient refrigerators or freezers and give its customers a $30 check in return.
As an extra bonus, customers enrolling in the program between April 1 and June 30 will be entered in a drawing to win a $250 prepaid debit card. Two winners will be selected in July.
To participate in Ditch Your Fridge, call IPL at 877-395-5535 or go to iplpower.com/DitchYourFridge. Refrigerators and stand-alone freezers must be in working condition and must be between 10 and 30 cubic feet in size. A check for $30 will arrive within six weeks. A maximum of two units per household a year will be accepted.
