From The Indianapolis News, Wednesday, February 19, 1913: Thirteen Indiana newspaper women from different parts of the state met yesterday at the Ayres tea room and organized the Woman’s Press Club of Indiana. Officers of the club are: Hester A. Moffett, Elwood Record, president; Blanche C. Foster, The Indianapolis News, 1st vice president; Helen Ernestinoff, The Indianapolis Star, 2nd vice president; Dora E. Budenz, Martinsville Daily Reporter, 3rd vice president; Laurel C. Thayer, Indianapolis Evening Sun, secretary; Mindwell Crampton Wilson, Delphi Citizens-Times, treasurer; Anna McKenzie, The Indianapolis News, historian. Grace Julian Clarke said the organization of the club was one of the things she had long hoped for, and Miss McKenzie said that the press club might be made the medium for distributing news of interest to women throughout the state.
