INDIANAPOLIS — Daily entertainment and dozens of beautifully decorated Christmass trees take center stage at the 27th annual Warren Holiday TreeFest, sponsored by the Warren Arts & Education Foundation, Inc.
The event will be held Nov. 20-Nov. 24 at the Warren Performing Arts Center (SPAC)m 9500 E. 16th St., on the campus of Warren Central High School. Hours are 3:30-8:00 p.m. Nov. 20, 23, and 24, noon-4 p.m. Nov. 21, and noon-8 p.m. on Nov. 22. Admission is $4 for adults and $3 for students and seniors. In addition to the display of trees, TreeFest features a holiday gift shop, refreshments, Breakfast with Santa and Friends, and the annual TreeFest Dinner and Auction (both on Sat., Nov. 21), plus live entertainment on the WPAC stage by school choirs and other local groups throughout the event.
Themed “Hometown Christmas,” TreeFest’s lavishly decorated trees are available for purchase, with sales benefiting initiatives of the Warren Arts & Education Foundation. The Foundation provides funding for a wide variety of programs throughout Warren Township Schools that are not covered by the traditional school budget. Included in the display are Celebrity Trees, decorated by well-known Indianapolis area residents, including Tamika Catchings, Indy Eleven mascot Zeke, Michael Grady, Greg Browning, and Buttercup, the mascot of American Dairy Association Indiana. Each Celebrity Tree, along with special items provided by their decorators, will be offered for bid at the annual HolidayTreeFest Dinner and Auction, Nov. 21 at 6:30 p.m. at the Community Life Center, 10612 E. Washington St. Many additional items will be up for bids at the silent and live auctions, including sports tickets and memorabilia, apparel, collectibles, and much more. Tickets for the dinner and auction are $30 per person.
The annual “Breakfast with Santa and Friends” will be held Nov. 21, 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at the WPAC’s Studio Theatre. Youngsters are invited to dress in holiday attire, bring a favorite stuffed animal, and enjoy music storytelling, delicious breakfast ites, visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and much more. Tickets are $5 per person.

On Nov. 24, from 6:30-7:30 p.m.,, professional entertainer and Indianapolis native Anita Hall appears in concert. Hall, a 1987 Warren Central graduate, is a versatile performer, with career credits that include performances with symphony orchestras. Her CD, “Send Love,” received the Hawaii Music Award for Inspirational CD of the Year and was selected for the Grammy Awards ballot.
