OAKLANDON — The Oaklandon Civic Theatre will present House On the Cliff, a film noir classic by George Batson, from a TV play by George Batson and Donn Harmon. Performances are Fri. Nov. 6. Nov. 7. Nov. 14. Nov. 15, Nov. 20 and Nov. 21. Curtain is at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $12 each. The House on the Cliff is rumored to be the last stop of the Civil Way Underground Railroad and overlooks one of the Great Lakes. Years ago, an excursion boat sank in a storm and it is said that the lake is haunted. Now, two mysteries are encapsulating the cursed home.
The young heiress Ellen Clayton, confined to a wheelchair, baffles her caretakers with her inability to walk. Then, a sudden murder plunges everyone into suspicion.
