IRVINGTON — EclecticPond Theatre Company’s (ETC) best-selling annual fundraiser 10×10 — has a new twist this year. After two years of showing Shakespeare’s top ten plays in ten minutes each, they decided to let their audience select the shows they wanted to see.
A few past 10×10 favorites will be returning thanks to the voting public, but those votes also brought in several brand new whacky and whimsical 10-minute interpretations of the bard’s cannon from the minds that brought Indy Shakespeare Wrote What…? and Dracula: The Panto.
Imagine, Shakespeare’s beautiful language of his greatest works—and some of his lesser-known ones—with a large dollop of modern irreverence and pop-culture parody. Or perhaps, you’re not a big fan of Shakespeare at all? Either way, ETC’s outrageous reinterpretations will have you howling with laughter.
Performances will be held January 10, 16 & 17 at 8 p.m., and January 11 ar 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door, $11.34 online (service fees included). Performances take place at the Irvington United Methodist Church, 30 N Audubon Rd. Visit Brown Paper Tickets online to reserve seats.
