• Check out the All Saints Oracle with Marilene Isaacs at The Bona Thompson Memorial Center 5350 University Ave. on Nov. 1 from 7:00-10:00 p.m. Marilene will be discussing the real meaning of the period of time from October 31st, Halloween, November 1st All Saints Day, and November 2nd, All Souls Day. • The Auxiliary to Community Hospital East will sponsor a Masquerade $5 Jewelry and Accessories sale around the clock beginning Nov. 5, at 7 p.m. and ending Nov. 7, at 3 pm. • Very excited about he first ever Cooking Expo at the State Fairgrounds this weekend at the Champions Pavilion, 1202 E. 38th St. For $10 for a one day pass or $15 for the whole weekend, you can check out a lot of vendors, see cooking demonstrations from some of the best local chefs, check out new ideas for holiday treats, and much more. • The Indy Winter Farmers Market will begin Nov. 8 at 9 a.m. at City Market, 202 E. Market St. They are going to start with a bang — check out the many vendors for your local food fix.
• A huge number of volunteers behind the scenes at the Historic Irvington Halloween Festival were responsible for making the week-long festival a huge success. Tara Elder organized everything this year, and did a superb job making sure it ran smoothly. Thank you to everyone who put their hearts and souls so that a whole bunch of people could enjoy a beautiful day in the Irv.
• This is the last weekend for the Irvington Ghost Tours with Al Hunter as your tour guide. Friday Oct. 31st and Sat. Nov. 1st the tour starts at 7p.m. The price is $15 which includes a copy of Al’s new book “Bumps in the Night, Stories from the Weekly View.” Advance tickets are available at Bookmamas, 9 S. Johnson and the tour meets in front of Bookmamas. Be prepared to walk a mile in a couple hours and bring a flashlight. The tours are non-profit and proceeds go to charity.
