McCORDSVILLE — A McCordsville tradition since 1952 returns Sept. 18 and 19 as McCordsville United Methodist Church welcomes the community to the 74th Annual Lord’s Acre Festival.
The two-day festival will be held Friday, September 18, from 4–8 p.m. and Saturday, September 19, from 11 a.m.–8 p.m. at McCordsville United Methodist Church, 6247 W. Broadway.
Lord’s Acre brings together neighbors, families, local businesses and volunteers for a weekend of festival food, live entertainment, 25+ vendors, a silent auction and activities for all ages. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors and community partners, all entertainment and family activities are free.
Friday features the Lord’s Acre Cruise-In, live music by Black Velvet, face painting and balloon creations, vendors and the silent auction.
Saturday includes live music throughout the afternoon, Gaming Ninjas, face painting, the Barnyard Party Pals stage show and petting zoo, karaoke, vendors and the silent auction.
Festival favorites include what many have called one of Indiana’s best fish sandwiches, along with fish tacos, chicken sandwiches, tenderloins, coney dogs, funnel cakes, homemade desserts and more. On Saturday, a Lord’s Acre tradition continues with homemade chicken and noodles beginning at 11 a.m. until they’re gone.
