• The Koorsen Fire Museum will have a flea market, a muster, and a chance to see a great fire museum on Saturday, Sept. 19 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the museum, located at 2820 N. • The first Be the Change Gala fundraiser for God’s Embrace will be held Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Fatima Event Center, 1040 N. Post Rd. at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $60 per person, and are available online at godsebraceindy.com. Proceeds go to help their mission of providing job skills for adults with cognitive disabilities.
• The Irvington Farmer’s Market will be held on Sunday, Sept. 13 from noon-3 p.m. at Ellenberger Park, 5301 E. St. Clair St. Local produce, artisans, prepared food and more will be available. Weather is looking pretty good for Sunday, so get some steps in and buy some veggies!
• Lagers in Lawrence returns on Saturday, Sept. 19 from 2-6 p.m. at the Fort Ben Cultural Campus, 8920 Otis Ave. There will be weiner dog races, craft beverages, German dance performances, food trucks, and a lot of fun. • The Historic Lockerbie Square Home and Garden Tour will be held Saturday, Sept. 12 and Sunday, Sept. 13 from noon-5 p.m. each day. Ten homes and gardens will be open for the self-guided tour. Tickets ordered in advance are $25 on eventbrite.com or $30 the day of the tour at the James Whitcomb Riley House, 542 Lockerbie St. Proceeds will go to restore and repair the neighborhood’s historic alleys and other improvements.
• Little Flower neighbors are encouraged to join a neighborhood walk on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 9 a.m.-10 a.m., starting on the front steps of the Little Flower Church, 1401 N. Bosart. Friendly dogs on leash are welcome.
• The 69th Annual Penrod Art Fair will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12 at Newfields, 4000 N. Michigan Rd. Tickets are $25 at the door. Free parking is provided at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, with a complimentary shuttle to and from the site. Over 350 artists from all over attend. There will be live music and acts, plus arts-related booths.
