26th Annual Irvington Garden Tour

IRVINGTON —The Irvington Garden Club & Farmers Market will present their 26th Annual Garden Tour on June 28 from 1-5 p.m. Since their first tour in 2000, they’ve highlighted the best gardens in historic Irvington. Guests can take home a free plant donated from the gardeners in the club, located at the Bona Thompson Memorial Center.
What can you expect on the tour? Lots of shade gardens, flower gardens, vegetable gardens, loads of creative landscaping, perhaps a pond or fountain, and perhaps an inspiration or two. Homeowners will be on hand, happy to answer questions and tell the story of how they created their oasis.
Tickets are $10, and can be purchased now online a https://irvington-garden-club.square.site/ , or two weeks in advance at George Thomas Florist (5608 E. Washington) or Black Sheep Gifts (5626 E Washington).
Tickets on the day can be purchased by card at the Benton House (312 S Downey), Bona Thompson Center (5350 E University), or with cash at the Irvington United Methodist Church (30 N. Audubon). You may also pay for a ticket at other stops with cash only.
Irvington United Methodist Church (30 N. Audubon) is having their annual Strawberry Festival from 1-4 p.m. with The RoundUps performing live music — it’s a great way to finish your tour.
The Irvington Garden Club hosts the tour. Proceeds go to  support beautification efforts in the community.
The club also sponsors the Irvington Farmers Markets at Ellenberger Park on the second Sunday of the month June-October.
