IRVINGTON — Irvington Community Middle School’s eighth-grade students are preparing for an educational trip to Washington, D.C., and the community’s support can help make it possible.
This annual trip brings classroom learning to life through visits to historic landmarks, museums, and memorials in the nation’s capital. The cost is $849 per student, and school organizers are working to ensure all students have the opportunity to attend.
Community members can help by participating in upcoming Dine to Donate events at Sahm’s Tavern Monday, March 2 and Jockamo’s, Tuesday, March10, where a portion of proceeds will support the trip. Additional fundraisers, including a Roller Cave event and a chili cook-off, will be announced soon.
Donations of any amount and student sponsorships are also welcome. Every contribution helps Irvington students experience history firsthand.
