INDIANAPOLIS – Extreme cold is forecast from Dec. 13-Dec. 15, with low temperatures in the single digits. During the winter weather season, warming centers will be open across the state for those in need of a safe and warm place to stay. Connect with Indiana 211 for up-to-date information on warming center locations and hours in your area. Please check on vulnerable neighbors and friends, if possible, during this time.

In addition to humans, these temperatures are unsafe for pets left outside. By Indianapolis law, dogs must be brought inside when temperatures are below 20 degrees or during wind chill warnings.
