Irvington Holiday Open House Dec. 5

IRVINGTON — The Irvington community is always up for a gathering, whether it’s a farmer’s market, Halloween Festival, or Luminaria. They will celebrate the holidays with a Holiday Open House on Friday, Dec. 5 from 5-10 p.m. Everyone is invited to activities sponsored by local business to bring holiday cheer. Sponsored by the Irvington Business Association, the event will have activities for the whole family.
The kids will love to visit with Santa at George Thomas Florist, 5609 E. Washington St., and enjoy some treats. Hazeables, 5545 E. Washington St. will have edible coloring pages for kids. Black Sheep Gifts, 5626 E. Washington will have the Grinch on hand, plus sales on their cool gift items. Jockamo Pizza, 5646 E. Washington will have coloring pages and some special surprises for the kids. Check out New Quantum Realty, 5610 E. Washington, will have bonfire treats from Sleepy Hollow. The Med, 5614 E. Washington, will host cookie decorating. For temporary tatoos and a chance to meet the Elves, hit up Trapdoor Tatoos, 5535 E. Washington. Smash’d Burgers, 10 Johnson Ave., will have a Dole Whip station. Hampton & Co. will host a reindeer/princess makeover and Bittersweet Bakery Pop-up. Bazaar Oh Vintage, 5844 E. Washington, will have lots of deals and temporary tats for everyone.
Teens will enjoy a trip to the Third floor of the Irvington Lodge, 5515 E. Washington for an open pinball — 100 games to choose from! Magick Candle, 6125 E. Washington, will have ornament decorating and handing out treats. Carpenter Realtors, 5636 E. Washington, will have a gingerbread house decorating event that would be fun for everyone. Irvington UMC, 30 N. Audubon, will have silent auction. At Josephine’s, 5620 E. Washington St., you can enter to win gift cards. Magpie Artspace, 206 S. Audubon, will have an artist gift shop and face painting. Check out the Ugly Sweater contest and many giveaways at Market Vintage, 9 S. Johnson.
At Irvington Vinyl and Books, 202 S. Audubon, there will be a release of “Door’s Always Open.” Across the street, check out Salon Citrine’s holiday hair fun and raffle at 203 S. Audubon. For the adults, visit the SNUG, 210 S. Audubon, for live music and holiday cocktails. Strangebird, 128 S. Audubon, will be serving up divine spirits and specials.
